PUBG Mobile servers run at a slow 20Hz tick rate to accommodate the massive variety of mobile hardware and unstable 4G/5G cellular networks. This is caused by "Desync" and the game's 20Hz tick rate combined with high ping. If an enemy has 120ms ping, they see a delayed version of you. They can shoot your character model on their screen, and the server's lag compensation will grant them the kill, even if you already ducked behind a wall on your screen.
To avoid severe desync and loot delay, you want your ping under 60ms. Once your ping exceeds 100ms, close-quarters combat becomes heavily reliant on luck, as the server will start rejecting your inputs in favor of players with lower latency.
A 900ms spike means your connection to the server completely stalled. This is usually caused by your phone attempting to switch between Wi-Fi and cellular networks, thermal throttling cutting power to the Wi-Fi chip, or extreme interference on your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.
